Big Orange Meal Share allows students to donate unused guest meals to students in need. This partnership between the Office of the Dean of Students, Student Government Association, New Student & Family Programs, and Volunteer Dining brings the Volunteer spirit to UT dining locations.
Don’t have a meal plan?
You can donate funds to cover the costs of a meal for a student in need. Give to support Big Orange Meal Share.
Need temporary assistance in obtaining meals? The Big Orange Meal Share is a short-term assistance program that can allocate up to ten (10) meals in a semester to students in need. Big Orange Meal Share is also available during summer semester(s).
Our office will review the application, determine eligibility, and notify you with a decision. To check your meal balance or dining dollar balance, please login to MyUTK.
Note: Students who submit a 2nd, 3rd, etc application may be asked to schedule a time to discuss your request and current meal allocation with a staff member in the Office of the Dean of Students.
Meals added to your VolCard can be used at any all-you-can-eat dining facility, Presidential Court Café, Southern Kitchen, or Fresh Food Company in Stokely Hall during regular business hours.
