Big Orange Meal Share

Big Orange Meal Share allows students to donate unused guest meals to students in need. This partnership between the Office of the Dean of Students, Student Government Association, New Student & Family Programs, and Volunteer Dining brings the Volunteer spirit to UT dining locations.

Want to donate meals?
You can donate one or more of your five free guest meals from your meal plan to the Big Orange Meal Share bank by clicking here.

Don’t have a meal plan?
You can donate funds to cover the costs of a meal for a student in need. Give to support Big Orange Meal Share.

Receiving Meals

Need temporary assistance in obtaining meals? The Big Orange Meal Share is a short-term assistance program that can allocate up to ten (10) meals in a semester to students in need. Big Orange Meal Share is also available during summer semester(s).

If you would like to apply to receive meals, please fill out this short form.

Our office will review the application, determine eligibility, and notify you with a decision .To check your meal balance or dining dollar balance, please login to MyUTK.

Note: Students who submit a 2nd, 3rd, etc application may be asked to schedule a time to discuss your request and current meal allocation with a staff member in the Office of the Dean of Students.

Meals added to your VolCard can be used at any all-you-can-eat dining facility, Presidential Court Café, Southern Kitchen, or Fresh Food Company in Stokely Hall during regular business hours.
